Alaric Adair is the author of the Adam Cranford series of books. He has  known my family for a long time. He has worked in many places around  the globe in the ICT industry for several large organisations. When he is  not writing the Adam Cranford books he advises on the physical security  for large financial institutions. He is married and lives in Edinburgh in Scotland. His children have now  left home and are raising their own families. Alaric was a youth leader  some years ago.
